Swing Bed – Extra Time to Heal

Versailles, Kentucky - At Bluegrass Community Hospital, all of these services are under one roof, close to home.

A swing bed program is designed to serve those individuals who are in a transition phase of illness or recovery until discharged. Patients may qualify for the program if they have been in a hospital in acute care for three days and require further skilled services, such as:

• Extended wound care needs
• Acute/sub-acute rehabilitation (Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy)
• Extended IV Therapy/Antibiotic Therapy
• Respiratory Therapy
• Discharge/Teaching Needs

In addition to this comprehensive care, patients accepted into the Swing Bed program at Bluegrass Community Hospital have:

• Weekly Patient Care Conferences
